Here’s a silly little acrostic-style poem I wrote today in English class.  When reading it, pay attention to the shape of the letters.  (BTW, I’ve been told it sounds like a love poem for someone named Cindy.  I’d just like to let it be known that not only do I not have a crush on someone named Cindy, I don’t even know anyone named Cindy.  I simply like the name, and it fits the poem nicely.  That is all.)

C A wheel not yet complete, she’s looking for her missing piece.

I An “I” bending in the wind is happy to assist his friend.

N Over hill and through valley the “I” hip-hops and the “C” roll-stops.

D So now together they always go; together they almost form an “O.”

Y Why, you ask?  Because instead, each has now found a friend.

I went to the St. Joseph’s College Annual Programming Competition, and my team came in 1st place! We all got plaques, the school gets a trophy, and I’ll be getting a check for $500! Yay us!

I just purchased my desktop-replacing laptop for college.  Yeah, it’s a few months away, I know.  But my brother needs a new computer, so I bought my college laptop now, so I can give my desktop to him sooner.

Anyway, the laptop I settled on is a Lenovo Thinkpad T61.  For those of you who don’t know, Lenovo is the largest Chinese computer manufacturer, who bought up IBM’s sales division.  Thinkpads have always been known as sturdy, powerful laptops, and this one is no exception!  The computer came with Vista Premium, and I decided to give it a try before downgrading to XP (or possibly switching to Linux!)  The OS runs well, and although I don’t game often, the computer has a dedicated nVidia card, which should be adequate.  The best part of all, is the computer has an accelerometer (all Thinkpads do, to turn off the hard drive if the laptop is dropped) and I can play games by tilting the laptop like a Wii!
